We just wrapped up our second trail race of the 2026 calendar: The Barayong Trailfest in Palo, Leyte.

The team showed up ready, and the effort translated directly to the results board:

30KM Race Results

15KM Race Results

To cap off, we’d like to mention that we race in every event with the singular intention to outdo our previous selves. For Team Dirt, the race course is the ultimate lab—it’s where we gauge exactly where our fitness stands against our training blocks. We put in the hours behind the scenes so we can be at our sharpest when the gun goes off. While getting a podium is a great result, our main metrics for success will always be assessment and progression.

"The most luxurious possession, the richest treasure anybody has, is his personal dignity."
-Jackie Robinson

Our preparation for every race is comprehensive. We don’t leave things to chance; we take a very holistic approach that covers everything from specific nutrition and strategic route reading to our clothing choice for the day and our post-event recovery protocols. If it affects performance, it’s on our radar.

Beyond the performance, we want to cultivate a culture of progression and a genuine sense of community within the events we participate in. Because of this commitment to the sport, we condone the backlashes that have surfaced after Barayong and the accusations brought up by certain parties.

This is not how we play. We believe in the standard set by Jackie Robinson: “The most luxurious possession, the richest treasure anybody has, is his personal dignity.” We choose to protect ours by focusing on the work, not the noise.

People are entitled to their opinions, of course, and we have ours. Our priority remains on the growth of our athletes and the integrity of the racing community. We’re moving forward, focusing on the next climb and the next goal.
